It is very remarkable! A 2nd total solar eclipse on the same year. My kids and I witnessed totality from my front yard back in April, and this one my family and I watched it on my computer.

The word for yesterday/today was, “Yaba”. It was an odd one for sure as I’ve never heard of it before, but the Spirit was emphatic about the spelling. So, although I now know it as an illegal drug, I found this site that explained everything and I started to ‘get it’. If you want to check out why this drug made me think about God, go here and whenever you read ‘drug’, replace it with ‘Gospel’. “Worst’ gets replaced with “best” etc. You’ll then read how even possessing it can land you in jail or get you the death sentence.
For practice try reading this paragraph, alternate words will be in parentheses: “Yaba (Jesus) is the most popularly used and distributed drug (Gospel) in the Kingdom, regardless of the harsh punishments that coincide with those who are caught with it. Yaba (Jesus) is a category one drug (Gospel), the worst (best) type of drug (Gospel) there is in Thailand, and those who use it (evangelize) face up to 20 years in prison or have to pay a very hefty fine. Those who are in possession of more than 20 grams (Bibles) of yaba (Jesus) face lifetime prison sentences and even the death penalty if caught, as in the eyes of the law, that person most likely has the intent to sell (evangelize) the drugs (Gospel).”

“Xylose,” was yesterday’s/today’s word. “Sugar from wood doesn’t seem that difficult for You who brought water from a rock,” was the first line of what I thought about with this one. It lead to over an hour long conversation with my sons about Exodus 17 and the 400 year mind job God was breaking His people from. The wandering, the teaching, the water from the rock if God’s people would just trust in Him who parted the waters. This is a nugget of the OT repeated throughout the Bible. Were they ready for what God had in store, and its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus?

Today’s word was ‘Xylography’. It lead me to think about what imprint was being left on my shoulders from carrying my cross and following after Jesus, Matthew 16:24-26. Of course, Jesus never said to put it down and take a break to enjoy life. That lead me to think about the cross’s burden, and I found this. What a great project. What a life!
