X4’s find on Saturday/Sunday!
“Xylose,” was yesterday’s/today’s word. “Sugar from wood doesn’t seem that difficult for You who brought water from a rock,” was the first line of what I thought about with this one. It lead to over an hour long conversation with my sons about Exodus 17 and the 400 year mind job God was breaking His people from. The wandering, the teaching, the water from the rock if God’s people would just trust in Him who parted the waters. This is a nugget of the OT repeated throughout the Bible. Were they ready for what God had in store, and its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus?

X4’s find on Monday!
Today’s word was ‘Xylography’. It lead me to think about what imprint was being left on my shoulders from carrying my cross and following after Jesus, Matthew 16:24-26. Of course, Jesus never said to put it down and take a break to enjoy life. That lead me to think about the cross’s burden, and I found this. What a great project. What a life!

W4’s find on Monday!
‘Walkingstick’ was today’s word. The many journeys God has taken me on, both in the body and in my mind, and for the last 25 years come this October – with my wife Betsy, have been monumental. The last line of my septet for today sums it up perty good, “I can’t wait to explore Heaven with You, this time in a new body with new legs.”
Here was my find. I liked it because of a picture it had of a ‘father and son’ walking through the woods together. It reminded me of better days.

V4’s find on Tuesday!
Today’s word was ‘Valiant’. The incarnation of Jesus truly is the most valiant thing I’ve ever heard of. I found this site helpful to gain an honest understanding of our own paradoxical journey with the Divine.

V4’s find on Monday
Today’s word was veracious! God is the only Truth. All else is shifting sand and is subject to change. As I looked for a verse that encapsulated this truth, I found this 8 year old post on a site by Pastor Rory Clark, https://barahministries.com/Message/1057/Getting-To-Know-God-God-is-Veracious-So-What. In it, he wrote not only of verses that verify the claim, but also about why it mattered.
U4’s find for Thursday!
The word for today was ‘unsurpassed’. It was a word that denotes God’s power at work in His children. When we gather, there He is among us.
