Q4’s Find on Tuesday!

Today’s word was ‘Quenchless’, as in God’s love for us never dims, John 3:16.  In thinking on His Love, I saw this video of missionaries that went to the “Forgotten Islands” of South Asia, where the people had never heard of Jesus, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKFr5wWIc1A&t=281s.  Even for the places that have, all it takes is for one generation to not tell the next about Jesus to become like the “Forgotten Islands”.

P4’s Find on Sunday!

Today’s word was ‘Proprietor’, Isaiah 64:8-type of reference, only I am the Real Estate property and He is The Proprietor.  I found myself wondering down the rabbit hole of Proverbs 23:7 and realized like in the movie, “Hondo, ‘Swimming Lesson'”, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIJrIuLwjM8, the kid made his own definition of himself as someone who can’t swim.  This was then ratified by the boy’s mother, but after a quick assessment by John Wayne’s character, it was time to change that way of thinking.

Proverbs tends to leave people where they are at, a muddied fountain and a polluted spring, etc. Proverbs 25:26.  Should we be left to the limits of ourselves in our minds, we would mimic those in America.  They show their inheritance of madness to the world as they seek to live out fleeting desires.

I then turned to Ephesians 5:8.  Praise the Lord, we are children of Light!  We see that we are not left as polluted springs.  For Jesus lead the Samaritan woman from that life to one that gushed forth Living Water, John 4:4–42.  Jesus again, using a Samaritan, marked the change in his parable of ‘the Good Samaritan’ Luke 10:30-37.

John Wayne’s character ‘threw the baby into the (bath) pond water’ and taught him to swim.  That boy changed his mind from limiting thoughts to those that would forever change his story.  Jesus took it even a step further than merely learning to swim, Matthew 14:25-33.  Like Peter, if we keep our eyes on Jesus, He may lead us to walk on water.

“There is no spoon.”

P4’s Find on Friday but it’s Saturday!

Yeah, my schedule is kooky, but since yesterday’s ‘P’ word was ‘penetrating’, my focus was on how God changes calloused hearts.  Lo and behold, I saw this: https://dove.org/review/9425-changing-hearts/.  Although Dove gave it a rating of 4 negative and O positive, they said, “This movie is a shining example of digging down deep!”

I’ve met many with hardened hearts, of which I myself may be one, and I see it all as mysterious- the Holy Spirit moves and Jesus walked through crowds and walls.  May He do so with whatever we are facing.

We know this life is not fair, but our God is.  Is it His design that we may suffer a little to gain a greater reward?  Maybe, but maybe it’s not about us, but for others?  For those with me since I wrote, path2story.com, and your difficulty persists, I say, “In this life, we may not see the end to our ‘darkened night’, but we can trust in the One who sees beyond the veil of time.

He will bring all things to their end.  John 16:33

P4’s find on Tuesday!

‘Peripatetic’ was today’s word.  It helped me to think of Jesus walking around with His disciples while teaching them about the Kingdom.  I then looked up about Franciscan monks because they are an example to me of what modern day peripatetic followers are like.  I stumbled on †friar Mark Weaver’s obituary and read about how others remembered him.  Although I never got the opportunity to meet him, †friar Weaver obviously left a cruciform mark on those he did.

P4’s Find on Monday

My word for today is ‘Proprioceptor’.  God is the One who moves beyond our senses, beyond our eyes, feelings, and emotions.  I used to think that we only have 5 senses by which we are made aware of reality, but thanks to includedbygrace.wordpress.com’s, (Winner of both 2014’s Christian New Media Award and the Most Inspiring Leadership Blog), article, Sensational 1: God made us sensory beings, I’ve read that now people think there are 8, if not even more.

And when we read we are made in the image of God – it is logical to assume that God is a sensory being first.” – includedbygrace.com

O4’s Find on Monday!

There are many things to see that God is doing all over the planet, and many ways to find them. Along with KP Yohannan, Soren and The Last Reformation has been quite illuminating.  I watched a great video of his on his channel called, https://www.youtube.com/@TheLastReformation.

Pick a video, any of them, to learn more about what God is up to.  From Merida, Mexico to Cape Town, South Africa, God is still doing great things and will be until Jesus comes again, amen.

“Renewing of our minds is to not think like this world anymore, but to think like God’s Kingdom.”
